Brook Side Villa has a history of offering a welcome to travellers since it was built in 1888. Back in the 19th century it offered lodgings and refreshments on reasonable terms - something we still try to do in the 21st century!

Just spent 5 days walking the complete Hadrians Wall Trail with my wife. We decided to take Denise up on the offer of the shuttle service that they provide. We managed to complete the journey in 5 days. There is no doubt that we would not have completed this if it was not for their help! Nothing was to much trouble from washing, cooking(which was outstanding home cooked food) or providing ice for injuries! Decided to undertake this task for my wifes 40th birthday with much anxiety, due to it being february and the thought of going to a hotter climate and what some people might call, more appropriate holiday environment.
There is no doubt that we spent 5 special days in the heartland of Hadrians wall country that we believe would be difficult to find almost anywhere else.
The surroundings were fab and made that much more special by staying in such a nice guest house.

28/01/08 I spent a night at the Brookside Villa B&B with my wife, daughter and two small dogs. I can’t fault the accommodation or welcome we received at all; firstly the hotel was spotless, had great layout and the room catered for all our needs. Although the accommodation was excellent the real plus point of the Brookside Villa was the owner Denise, she was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble (not to mention a great cook!). 10/10 from me – I defy anyone to stay at the Brookside Villa and not enjoy their stay!
